Door ajar edition
Unbelievable statistic number one. Last Monday we played with the door ajar all night. OK so it wasn’t open all the way, but as a radical departure from the heat riddled confines of Atelier Glebe it was certainly a shock to those (like me, I’m one) who bemoan the continued bottled air that only circulates when someone actually breathes. Rarefied, indeed.
I’m actually listening to vinyl at the moment as I hype this on my telipad. Great to have the needle stick. Which leads me to unbelievable stat numero deux. According to the iTunes department of the small works unit, frozen out by foreign competition, I have 9,599 songs that I could choose from. I usually compose this freefall wordfest from a digital base picking on something old and familiar as it best relaxes me for the contemplation of serious club related matters such as biscuits, temperature zones and tiles that stray down the inner lining of the bag. Do you realize that’s a mere 29 days, 3 hours, 24 minutes and 17 seconds worth were I to listen to each track just once ? Where is all this predominance on facts and stats leading us to ? Tantamount to thought….
(Nowhere) I was just expostulating like a bedraggled raincoated philosopher on the outdoor part of the Palace Pier. But for size, as this part of the season is all about comparatives and the Most Improved Player accolade, it’s Elizabeth (+23 on wins + 18 averages) and Ann M (+4 and + 20) who are the breakaway frontrunners. And Paulettski has achieved the same %wins in her first 60 games (+ 6 on average) as in her 90 last season.
Last (useless stat). This week I got more leaflets and junk through the post than actual mail. Combining two most effectively I ate double-glazed pizzas last night.
Which just leaves the gym and share offers at giveaway prices. Just watch my scrab come on in laps and bonds.
Wow. LP finished already. Such distractions. Email. Phone. Low flying circular saws. I’ll leave you to consider improving at once, and take your duties seriously
